Tasking Contracts
Companies have traditionally had 2 options for undertaking projects. Firstly to outsource the project to a third party supplier. Secondly to manage the project in-house utilising a mixture of permanent staff and sub-contractors supplied via agencies. Both methods have their own benefits and disadvantages. TPS has identified a unique "Third Way" involving Tasking Contracts, which incorporate the major benefits of both methods whilst minimising cost and risk to the end-user.
Tasking Project Methodology:
- Job or project need scoped into a package of work as per outsourcing
- Package split into a series of identifiable milestones
- Payments made against work achieved rather than hours worked as per outsourcing
- TPS identifies contractors and hires them (after client agreement/interview) through back to back contracts
- Overall contract managed by TPS
- Responsibility for work content covered by individual contractors PI insurance
- Either on-site or off-site in TPS/contractors premises
- From single man packages up to million pound contracts
- Small mark-up charged by TPS compared to consultancy companies
- Work is classed as outsourcing and therefore does not impact head-count or need to go via Corporate recruitment suppliers
